Veneers in Westminster

Prices read August 2026 · page checked 16 September 2026 · How we verify prices

66 dental practices in Westminster publish what they charge for veneers. Half of them ask between £600 and £1,199 for a tooth, and the middle price is £970 — 33% above the London index figure of £730 for veneers (the median of the 10 borough medians we publish). The figures below are those practices' own published fees, read in August 2026, each one linked to the practice and its CQC registration. They are not quotes: what you pay depends on what the examination finds. Veneers are cosmetic in almost all cases, so the NHS does not cover them.

How this is worked out. Every figure comes from a price list the practice publishes itself. We drop “from” prices, which describe the cheapest possible case rather than a price, and variants narrower than the treatment named. 66 Westminster practices remain. The middle price across all 10 boroughs we cover is £730. How we read a fee guide.

What the numbers say · Westminster

Porcelain veneers in Westminster have a median published price of £995 per tooth (40 practices) and composite £450 (14). 12 of the 66 prices do not state a material. Medians are shown from five practices; the London-wide split and method are on the veneers page.

The lowest neighbouring median is Brent at £645 — £324 below Westminster, from 21 published prices. Both are published prices, not quotes; a practice sets its own fee whichever borough it sits in.

Why do some Westminster practices list under half the median?

11 of 66 published prices are below £485: Image Dental Clinic (£195), Harley Street Dental Studio (£241), The Church Street Dental Practice (£250). A figure this far below the borough median is often a narrower product than the rest of the table (a single session, a top-up, or an introductory offer) — check what the practice's fee guide includes before comparing.

Why are some Westminster prices more than double the median?

2 of 66 listed prices exceed £1,939: London Periodontics and Implant Dentistry (£2,000), Harley Street (£2,250). These are typically premium packages or specialist-led treatment; the median is a better guide to what a typical Westminster practice charges.

Why does the same practice name appear twice?

1 name recurs (Harley Street Dental Studio / Harley Street Dental Clinic Limited / Harley Street). The CQC registers each location separately, and some practices hold two registrations at one address. Each row links to its own CQC registration and each row is counted in the figures above; if the pair is one practice, read it as a single price point.

Every statement above is computed from the 66 published prices in the table below; it changes when the data changes.

A low figure is a real published fee, not a quote — complexity can change the price. Always confirm. How we verify

A veneer is a thin layer of porcelain or composite bonded to the front of a tooth to change its colour, shape or alignment. Porcelain lasts longer; composite is cheaper and reversible.

What Affects the Price

Porcelain veneers usually need a thin layer of enamel removed, so the tooth will always need a veneer or crown afterwards — they are irreversible. “No-prep” veneers exist but suit only some cases; composite veneers, by contrast, are often reversible.

Ask for the practice’s repair policy in writing: what happens if a veneer debonds or chips in the first year. Many London dentists offer composite as a lower-cost “trial smile” before committing to porcelain.

Porcelain veneers require removing a thin layer of enamel, so they are irreversible. Composite veneers add material to the tooth and can often be removed or repaired.

Porcelain veneers typically last 10 to 15 years; composite 4 to 8 years before they need replacing or refreshing.

Veneers are a cosmetic treatment and are not available on the NHS. Beware very low "package" prices advertised for full sets — quality of materials and clinician skill vary widely.

Questions
How long do veneers last?

Porcelain veneers last 10 to 15 years; composite veneers 4 to 8 years. Both eventually need replacing.

Are veneers available on the NHS?

No. Veneers are cosmetic and private-only, unless there is a clinical reason such as trauma, which is assessed case by case.

NHS charges from DHSC (April 2026); private prices read from practices' own published fee guides, August 2026. CQC data under Open Government Licence v3.0. Methodology.
