Invisalign in Barnet

Prices read August 2026 · page checked 16 September 2026 · How we verify prices

34 dental practices in Barnet publish what they charge for invisalign. Half of them ask between £1,896 and £3,968 for a course, and the middle price is £2,375 — 12% below the London index figure of £2,700 for invisalign (the median of the 10 borough medians we publish). The figures below are those practices' own published fees, read in August 2026, each one linked to the practice and its CQC registration. They are not quotes: what you pay depends on what the examination finds. Clear aligner treatment for adults is private; NHS orthodontics is limited to under-18s who meet clinical need.

Why do some Barnet practices list under half the median?

1 of 34 published prices are below £1,188: Elite Dental Care Hendon (£850). A figure this far below the borough median is often a narrower product than the rest of the table (a single session, a top-up, or an introductory offer) — check what the practice's fee guide includes before comparing.

Every statement above is computed from the 34 published prices in the table below; it changes when the data changes.

A low figure is a real published fee, not a quote — complexity can change the price. Always confirm. Reading up first? Our Invisalign cost guide covers tiers, what’s included and finance. How we verify

Invisalign uses a series of custom clear aligners to move teeth gradually. It is one of several clear-aligner systems; all adult orthodontic treatment is private in the UK.

What Affects the Price

NHS orthodontics is essentially limited to under-18s who meet the IOTN clinical-need threshold, and it uses fixed braces, not aligners. Adult aligner treatment in London is almost always private.

Avoid remote “aligners by post” services with no in-person examination and X-rays: moving teeth with undiagnosed gum disease or short roots can cause permanent damage. Every practice listed here is a CQC-registered physical location.

Aligners are worn 20–22 hours a day and changed roughly weekly. A 3D scan plans the full sequence before treatment starts, and a simulation shows the projected result.

Comprehensive treatment typically takes 12 to 18 months; minor cosmetic cases 3 to 6 months. Retainers are needed indefinitely afterwards to prevent relapse.

For mild to moderate crowding, a well-trained general dentist achieves results equivalent to a specialist. For significant bite problems, impacted teeth or jaw discrepancies, a specialist orthodontist is the appropriate choice.

Questions
Is Invisalign cheaper with a general dentist than an orthodontist?

Often 10–20% less. For mild to moderate cases the outcome is equivalent. For complex cases a specialist orthodontist may achieve a better result.

Does the NHS cover Invisalign?

No. Adult orthodontics is private. NHS orthodontics is available for under-18s who meet the clinical need criteria, but uses fixed braces, not Invisalign.

How long does Invisalign take?

Comprehensive treatment 12 to 18 months; minor cosmetic cases 3 to 6 months.

NHS charges from DHSC (April 2026); private prices read from practices' own published fee guides, August 2026. CQC data under Open Government Licence v3.0. Methodology.
